Aspelin/Murray Win In Partnership Debut

Simon Aspelin and Jamie Murray made their partnership debut, Monday at the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters, with a 7-6(5), 6-2 win over Rohan Bopanna and James Cerretani. They converted on all three of their break point chances to earn the victory in 67 minutes.
The Swedish-British duo next faces seventh-seeded Czech veterans Martin Damm and Pavel Vizner, who make their team's first Cincinnati appearance since their event debut 11 years ago.
Simone Bolelli and Andreas Seppi, who will represent Italy at the Beijing Olympics, prevailed against Americans Scott Lipsky and David Martin 7-6(4), 2-6, 10-5 in Monday's other doubles match.
Bolelli and Seppi will attempt to win back-to-back ATP matches for the first time since reaching the Monte-Carlo quarterfinals in their tour-level debut two years ago. Earlier this year, they won the Challenger title at Bergamo.
They next confront Stanford ATP Doubles Race leaders and No. 2 seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic. The Canadian-Serbian duo has won four titles from six straight finals.
